Why has The Zone been running very slow lately? Something seriously needs to be done about the delays that everyone has been experiencing when loading different pages on the site. This isn't fare, especially to those premium members who have paid a fee to use the site. I just got my premium today, and before I upgraded, the site was never slow when I used it. Any thoughts on this?

We've been logging page load times for about the past week and will be analysing this data to find the most problematic pages. The site becomes very very slow for about 15 minutes each day during daily backups. The database must be locked to prevent inconsistancies and during that time the site is basically unusable.
From my brief look at the data, the slowness appears to happen when two or more people are trying to use quicknote history at the same time.

last night, I entered the site, and didn't even have to log in, but when I went to the boards, I wasn't listed as being logged in, and so I went out and came back, then tonight, it took a long time for the page to load, but then the boards link wouldn't come up at all, so when I left and came back again, when I tried to log in, it just sat there on the log in button, then the page wouldn't come up at all. It's mostly a guess, but it seems to happen when there a lot of people on, like 40 or 47 or so. When there are about 25 or less, the site seems to settle back down again.
